# AfriHealth AI FAQ and Troubleshooting Common Issues

> Answers to common AfriHealth AI questions about microphone access, speech engine errors, patient data, clinician review, and supported languages.

These answers cover the questions new AfriHealth AI users ask most often, from microphone setup to what the prototype can safely be used for.

  <Accordion title="My microphone does not work">
    Open the diagnostics panel and confirm **Browser Secure Context** passes. Browsers only allow microphone capture over HTTPS or localhost. Then select **Test Mic** and allow access in your browser's site permissions.

  <Accordion title="Can I try the modules without a microphone?">
    Yes. Use **Pre-load Audio** or **Judge Mode (No Mic Req.)** with any of the five Gold Standard cases.

  <Accordion title="The Intron Sahara API check fails">
    Select **Ping API** again. If it still fails, the backend Intron proxy is unreachable. Contact your AfriHealth AI administrator.

  <Accordion title="Can I use real patient data?">
    No. The prototype is not ready for identifiable patient data. See [Safety and Readiness](/evidence/safety-and-readiness).

  <Accordion title="Why did my SOAP draft not include ICD-10 codes?">
    ICD-10 codes are only generated from structured SOAP JSON. Free prose returns a manual-review draft without codes.

  <Accordion title="Does AfriHealth AI make clinical decisions?">
    No. All outputs are drafts and decision support. A qualified clinician must review and sign off.

  <Accordion title="Which languages are supported?">
    Amharic-English today. Afaan Oromoo-English and Tigrinya-English are on the roadmap. See [Languages](/resources/languages).
